– A Brand New World For The Brave –
In other words .. we’re going back to the 1980’s .. the M8 engine somehow looks like an EVO on steroids anyway …

When Milwaukee-Eight Meets the Charm of Carburetion
In the world of motorcycle customization, OFFRAMP has always believed that true classics never fade—they are simply reborn in new forms. In this project, we embarked on a mechanical dialogue across eras: transforming a modern streetfighter equipped with a Milwaukee-Eight engine into a retro carbureted version full of soul and mechanical charm. This is more than a modification—it is a heartfelt tribute to the golden age of motorcycling.

Release of Raw Power, Awakening the Authentic Sound
The OFFRAMP team focused on unlocking the engine’s deep potential. Although the original Milwaukee-Eight engine is powerful, through precise tuning and retrofitting with a carburetor system, the power delivery has become more linear and abundant, with especially excellent torque response in the low to mid RPM range. And most captivating of all is the clear, rhythmic “potato-potato” exhaust note—the most authentic language of the American V-twin, and the most recognizable sonic signature of a classic motorcycle.
Another difference in this M8 EFI to carb upgrade tutorial is that we totally get rid of the stock electric system.
Your bike will go faster (no speed limit) with smoother performance. You will have great starting and idle, immediate and unhindered throttle response.

Retro Control Posture, Reshaping the Aesthetics of Riding
To perfectly match the retro style, OFFRAMP selected classic high-rise handlebars, which not only enhance visual purity but also provide a more relaxed and confident riding posture. At the same time, the vehicle was fitted with a lowered rear suspension system, further bringing down the center of gravity. This not only offers stronger stability in corners but also creates a low and agile silhouette.

Wide Tire and Short Fender, Outlining a Robust Profile
We infused this streetfighter with a more compelling visual language. The upgraded 200-width rear tire not only enhances the muscular feel of the motorcycle but also improves road grip and riding confidence. Paired with the shortened rear fender, the overall side profile appears more streamlined and compact, with the mechanical structure fully exposed—like a moving piece of mechanical art.

In the Details Lies the Attitude
OFFRAMP has always believed that true style lies in the details. The side license plate bracket was not designed in a modern center-mounted style but was changed to a more retro side-mounted style, further enhancing the overall coherence and period feel of the bike. Every screw, every weld, every inch of paint has been thoughtfully considered, truly achieving “retro but not outdated, new yet not ostentatious.”

Conclusion: Giving Machinery Soul, Making Riding a Ritual
This reborn machine based on the Milwaukee-Eight platform is not only a demonstration of OFFRAMP’s technical expertise but also a deep understanding of personalized motorcycle culture. We are not just modifying a motorcycle—we are shaping an attitude, an aesthetic, a way to converse with the times. OFFRAMP is dedicated to making every bike a rider’s unique statement of identity.

If you too desire a ride that can both narrate classics and conquer the streets, the OFFRAMP Custom welcomes you at any time.
