OFFRAMP OMSS Magneto Ignition for Harley Ironhead Sportster & 45/80 Flathead

Built for early Harley-Davidson engines and traditional custom machines, the OFFRAMP OMSS Magneto Ignition brings true self-contained magneto ignition to compatible 1957–1970 Ironhead Sportster and 45/80 Flathead applications. Mechanically driven by the engine, the magneto generates its own ignition energy without relying on battery power for spark—an ideal setup for stripped-down choppers, bobbers, vintage race builds, and restorations where simple wiring and pure mechanical function matter.

The OMSS mounts directly at the cam cover and combines manual ignition retard for starting with automatic advance during normal operation. An indexed mounting system allows the magneto body to be repositioned in 12-degree increments, giving builders greater flexibility when working around frame and engine clearance. Precision-machined billet aluminum construction, a high-energy permanent-magnet rotor, and traditional serviceable contact-point ignition architecture bring modern machining quality to a proven old-school magneto design.
